Talent by, Zoey Dean, Reviewed by, Julie M.
Mackenzie Little-Armstrong, also known as Mac, is the daughter of a world famous talent agent. Her brother Jenner is a surf star, and her sister Maude is a ten year old certified genius. Her dad is an award winning screen writer, and Mac is just a boring old eighth grader attending BAMS(Bel-Air Middle School). Living in a large city like LA, it is difficult for Mac to be associated with such a successful family. Mac hopes to change the way everyone thinks of her with the help of Mac's two best friends, Coco and Becks. Coco is the daughter of a famous dancer and singer, Cardammon, and Becks's dad is a TV host on MTV. The only problem is she doesn't know how she can change the way people think of her. When she meets Emily Mungler, an average girl from Iowa on vacation with her best friend Paige, Mac's luck changes. Emily has serious acting skills or as Mac's mom calls it, "The It Factor," and Mac wants to follow in her mother's footsteps and make Emily a "star." The three best friends have to change Emily's looks and name to become a famous actress. Can Emily take all the heat and leave her best friend Paige? Will Mac make Emily a star? More importantly, does Emily have what it takes to land a major role in a movie ? Will there be four best friends now? Find out what happens in this amazing book.
