Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer reviewed by Lauren F.

Eclipse

By: Stephenie Meyer

Eclipse is the third installment of Stephenie Meyer's exciting Twilight Saga series. This book is part fantasy and has romantic moments as well. The back drop of this story again takes place in Forks, Washington. Eclipse starts out with our main character Bella Swan trying to figure out her relationship with her boyfriend Edward Cullen. He has asked her a serious question and she needs to figure out how she wants to answer. Bella is also trying to maintain her relationship with Jacob Black, her best friend who is a werewolf. Bella wants to become a vampire but she knows this would destroy her relationship with Jacob plus it would cause the Cullen's treaty with the werewolves to end. Bella is still the awkward teenage girl with brown hair and a quirky personality.

While Bella is trying to figure out her personal life there has been a lot of murders taking place in Seattle, Washington. The Cullen's are afraid there is a new evil vampire in the area or a returning old foe . Alice Cullen, one of Bella's best friends has a vision that Bella is in jeopardy. With Bella's life at stake the Cullen's and the werewolves must come together if they want to keep their lands safe and save Bella's life. Will they be able to do so??? Will Jacob's hatred of Edward destroy Bella's life? How will Bella answer Edward's questions? These are many of the questions Eclipse challenge's the readers throughout this book. You will be kept on the edge of your seat as Stephenie Meyer's has breathtaking fight scenes that will keep turning the pages until 2:00 am.

I felt Eclipse was a great book but it takes great imagination to get the idea of vampires and werewolves as real people. I also thought the ending of Eclipse was begging me to read the final book, Breaking Dawn.
