In the book, Adam Canfield, the Last Reporter, a group of kid reporters try to save their school newspaper Slash from being slashed! In a recent paper they wrote, they revealed that a rich family in their town was using their money against the poor people who live in their town. A lot of people were happy that the rich family got busted, but the family sure wasn't! They had so much power in the town that they shut down the newspaper. But Adam and Jessica, the coeditors of Slash, will not go down without a fight. They set about raising enough money to eventually print the paper by themselves. To do this, they hire the Ameche brothers, who call themselves kid entrepreneurs. After a while, they finally find some lead stories, including suspiciously high test scores and a possibly rigged school election.

This book has a mixture of humor, action, mystery and even a little romance. In my opinion, I think this was a great book. I like how it was realistic and really showed how a kid could feel if they were in a tough position with other kids or an adult. Overall, this was a great book and I would definitely recommend this to anybody.
