"The Chronicals of Vladimir Tod, Eighth Grade Bites" By Heather Brewer, reviewed by: Jennifer K
"Eighth Grade Bites", is a book by Heather Brewer. It is the first book from the series called, "The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod". The main character of this book is a 13 year old boy named Vladimir Tod, also known as Vlad. You would think that he is just a regular human boy, but he's something more, he is actually a Vampire, a distinguished ancient being. Except there's a catch, he is probably the most special vampire of them all, if you consider being the first vampire to be born both vampire and human. Even though he is a vampire he lives a very human like life, minus the garlic of course. He has to deal with bullies all day and a principle that hates him, pretty normal stuff for middle school, right? Well wrong, on top of that all he has to deal with another vampire that has taken the lives of his parents, a good friend, and now he is after Vlad. But Vlad gets through it all with the help from his best friend Henry, and his Aunt Nelly. Also surprisingly the one who he thought was a murderer is not a murderer at all, but is actually his ******** and ends up saving his life! Talk about an unexpected turn in events. If you like books that are suspenseful, adventures, fictious, and funny than you will love this book, however, I wouldn't recomend this book for readers younger than middle school, some parts can be a little bit gory.
