The Lemonade War

I read the book The Lemonade War by Jaqueline Davies. This book is about a boy named Evan and his little sister Jessie. When Evan finds out that Jessie will be in his fourth grade class with him because the school is shareing classrooms Evan goes crazy. He goes crazy because Evan isn't the best in school. He struggles with reading and isn't so good in school, and while on the other han Evans sister Jessie is very good in school and Evan doesn't want her to see him get a wrong answer in school and have his friends think she is smarter than him. After fighting with his sister Evan calls his friend Scott Spencer and decides to have a lemonade stand with him to earn some money. When Jessie comes out side and sees Scott there she finds this unusual because Evan doesn't really hang out with Scott that much. So Jessie then asks Evan if he would like any help because she could help him earn some money, but when Evan says no the war is on. After reciveing the word no from Evan Jessie says,"Fine i'll make my own lemonade stand." So Jessie goes on to do that and then calls up one of evans friends because none of her friends are around. When Jessie's friend comes along the start of the war begins. I thought this was a very great book and it really kept me reading and that everyone should read it once. By Charlie R.
